Who plays Phyllis on The Young and the Restless?

PHYLLIS Summers is a key character in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless.

Various actresses have played the character in the past, though one has been the pioneer of Phyllis’ portrayal.

Michelle Stafford, 55, has played Phyllis Summers from 1994 to 2013, with a few gaps in certain years.

Stafford left and actress Sandra Nelson stepped in to play the role of Phyllis in 1997, but only played her for a year.

“So the reason for leaving was that I just really wanted to do other things. Playing one character for 15 years is enough,” she added.
