RHOA's Drew Sidora on Filming Without Porsha and Cynthia, Feeling Like She's "About to Get Divorced," and Trusting Ralph, Plus Weight Loss and NBA Romance

Drew Sidora is dishing on the currently airing 14th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Ahead of a sneak peek in which she and Kandi Burruss looked back on past flings they’ve had with famous people, Drew admitted she missed former castmates Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey, admitted to constantly feeling like she’s on the verge of a divorce, and explained how her dynamic with Sanya Richards-Ross changed after she joined the show.

“I miss my girls. Even now I miss them,” Drew admitted of Porsha and Cynthia during a June 1 interview with Us Weekly. “I came in through Cynthia and then Porsha was my neighbor. Our girls play together. We hang out all the time so not having my girl here, we text a lot but it wasn’t the same. But it did give me an opportunity to get to know the other ladies.”

Throughout the 14th season of RHOA thus far, Drew’s marriage issues have been evident. And even today, things are far from perfect between them.

“It always feels like we’re almost about to get divorced,” Drew shared, saying that when she left home and flew to Chicago, she felt “done.”

“I went home.. and I got to be around my family. And Ralph came to Chicago,” she recalled. “We were actually at the circus and he showed up at the circus like, ’This has been too long. You’re trippin’. I need my family back.’ It is really, truly the essence of who we are. Sometimes it’s me and sometimes it’s him that’s like, ‘We’re not gonna give up.’ And that’s the journey we’re on every day.”

Although things with Ralph have been rocky, she confirmed she trusts her husband — despite his mysterious trip to Tampa and his shady text from his assistant.

“In my heart, I trust my husband because I also know the other side of him growing up in a single-family household… I grew up in a two-family household, and the love I received is different,” she noted. “[It] really helps me to be more forgiving and more sensitive to the fact that we’re both on a journey of growth. We just try to work through it but every day is not perfect.”

Also during RHOA season 14, Drew spotlighted Drop It with Drew, her fitness and weight loss program — but doing so wasn’t without controversy. In fact, both Sanya and Kandi questioned whether she truly dropped 25 pounds in three weeks as she initially claimed.

“My math wasn’t mathing and I’ll own that part,” Drew said of the controversy. “My math was wrong. I lost 25 pounds with the whole program that I did. Our program is 21-day challenges, so in the first challenge, yes, I lost 10 pounds. But I did the challenge multiple times so I ended up achieving 25 pounds. I was excited for my girls to learn about it so I think I tried to oversell in that moment. And they got me.”

While Sanya was actually introduced to the cast as a friend of Drew, their dynamic changed once the cameras began rolling.

“Sanya and I initially had a great connection… We hung out as a couple, we went out to dinner, she came to my mom’s birthday party. It was amazing and I was like, ‘We’re gonna be the young girls. We’re gonna have fun. We’re gonna take over and just be lit.’ And she just turned out not to be that girl,” Drew confessed. “Even now, I’m just learning her. People will get to see who she really is.”

As for the solid friendships she made on the show, Drew said that all was well with just about everyone, aside from Sanya and Sheree Whitfield.

“Sanya and I, we just, we couldn’t get on the same page. It was really hard. It was really challenging. And Sheree and I, we just had a big misunderstanding,” she revealed.

Drew also experienced some tension with Kenya Moore in the past. But after making amends at the RHOA season 13 reunion, they were able to start fresh.

“Anyone that can own and apologize should definitely be able to move on. So that was me extending that olive branch. And we did [get to a better place],” she confirmed.

In other RHOA news, a sneak peek at the June 5 episode shared by Page Six saw Drew and Kandi answering Kenya’s question about the “most famous person who ever hit on” them.

“I was on Melrose and we were at a restaurant and a certain king of the NBA sent me over a drink,” Drew recalled to her castmates and Ralph.

“Was this before he was married?” Marlo Hampton asked.

“This was before he was married,” Drew confirmed.

While Drew did name the NBA player, the audio was censored.

“We went on a couple of dates, he flew me to his games. He would listen to my music before his games. All those games he was winning, it was off of my music!” she said. “I’m just saying.”

After Marlo shadily wondered, “What music does she have? Does she have music,” Sanya suggested that the man in question had been with his current partner for many years.

“Hasn’t [bleep] and [bleep] been dating since high school?” she wondered in a confessional, adding that Drew was “talking about LaQuan.”

Because LaQuan rhymes with LeBron James, who has known his wife Savannah since they were kids, one might consider she was referring to him, although the identity has yet to be revealed.

As for Kandi, she gave a nod to her past romance with singer Gerald Levert.

“I mean, like, I was in a whole blown relationship with Gerald Levert,” she shared.

Then, in a confessional, she added, “I actually have a song with him that we did together that we never released. Like, it’s just sitting on my hard drive.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
