Latto is defending her latest single.
The 23-year-old rapper announced her new single “Pussy” on Wednesday (July 13), sharing a video to Twitter that featured protestors reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade that included a brief snippet of the song.
“My ovaries ain’t for you to bully!!!!” she captioned the clip, referencing a line from the track. “P?SSY THIS FRIDAY 7/15!!!”
Some users took issue with the post on social media, accusing Latto of capitalizing on current events to market the song.

“Using serious issues to promote your song is wild,” one Twitter user wrote. Latto replied, “Or I took my frustrations to the booth like a RAPPER [and I’m] using my platform to spread awareness.”

Y’all be the same ones saying, ‘Why [you] gotta post everything’ if I do [and] assume I’m not doing it if I don’t post it lol however I AM using my power (platform) to make a change regardless shut yo fake woke ass up what are YOU doing???”
