The brutal rivalry between Lloyd (Forrie J.Smith) and Walker (Ryan Bingham) on Yellowstone has been brewing for a while. From insults to harmless fights, their conflict escalated in a big way during a wild moment in last night’s episode “I Want To Be Him.” After seeing Walker hanging with the bunkhouse boys and cozying up to Lloyd ex-girlfriend Laramie (Hassie Harrison), Lloyd totally lost it, smashing Walker’s guitar and stabbing him in the chest.
The worst fallout from Lloyd’s attack did not affect Walker, but several of the Bunkhouse regulars. To keep the peace between the wranglers, an exasperated John Dutton (Kevin Costner) orders Rip (Cole Hauser) to kick all the women out of the bunkhouse, including our beloved Teeter (Jen Landon). If you turned off the volume after John Dutton’s decision, you could hear millions of Yellowstone fans screaming in agony.
Rip tries to stand up for Teeter, telling John, “she’s a good hand, she hasn’t been any trouble.” John reiterates, “All of them.”
HOW DID RIP KICK TEETER OF OUT THE BUNKHOUSE?
Rip calls a meeting in the bunkhouse with last paychecks in hand. What must a severance package from the Yellowstone ranch look like? With Mia (Eden Brolin) already gone (she left last night to get back on the rodeo circuit), Laramie and Teeter look gob smacked at the envelopes in Rip’s hands. He tells them “Pack your shit up. You both are going.” Teeter exclaims, “Hey, what the fuck did I do?”
Rip looks back as he’s leaving the bunkhouse and tells her, “It ain’t my decision,” one of the few times that Rip has expressed his disagreement with one of John Dutton’s decisions. Teeter’s man, Colby (Demin Richards), can’t even react before the men are called out of the bunkhouse to watch the final showdown between Lloyd and Walker. All Teeter can do is shake her head and throw her paycheck on the table in disgust.
IS JENNIFER LANDON LEAVING YELLOWSTONE?
We sure hope not! When we interviewed Jen Landon last year, she said this about Teeter: “One of the backstories that I’ve always had in my head for Teeter is that she was raised by her father and had three or four older brothers. For various reasons, that family fell apart. Since then she’s been looking for a home, and she found it with them.” Teeter has found her home at the Yellowstone ranch with Colby and the Bunkhouse boys. It would be a shame (and a huge loss for Yellowstone) to see her go.
