Gossip Girl 2021: Heres The Full Release Schedule for Every Episode

July 2024 · 4 minute read

Welcome back, Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl has returned for more in the HBO Max reboot — did you miss her? The new series may not bring back any of the OG cast, and may already have one shocking plot twist that sets it apart from the original series, but it’s still filled with all the gossipy goodness that’ll bring you back week after week for more Constance Billard drama. Wondering when new episodes of Gossip Girl will drop? We know you’re itching for more, and we can tell you when to mark your calendars for the full release schedule.

The new series unfolds when newbie Zoya (Whitney Peak) enters the vicious Constance Billard ranks. The school is ruled by the charming Julien Calloway (Jordan Alexander), who just happens to be Zoya’s half-sister. But with the students out of control, the faculty decides to take action against the kids by rebooting Gossip Girl for a new generation. With Gossip Girl ruling everyone via her traditional column (now in Instagram form), who knows what’ll happen next? Not us, that’s for sure. But we do, however, know when new episodes will drop. Here’s everything you need to know about the Gossip Girl release schedule.

How many episodes are in the Gossip Girl reboot?

As of now, there are six episodes slated for HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot, with six more to follow. The first episode dropped today on the platform, but are new episodes dropping daily? Weekly? When, exactly, do new episodes hit the streamer? Keep reading.

Gossip Girl release schedule: when do new episodes premiere?

If you’ve already streamed the first episode of Gossip Girl and met the new Constance Billard icons, we know you’re ready for Episode 2. New episodes of Gossip Girl premiere Thursdays at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT. We’ll get new episodes of Gossip Girl weekly, so the release schedule is as follows:

The original Gossip Girl debuted upwards of 20 episodes per season on The CW, so is HBO Max really calling it quits at six episodes for the first season? Not quite.

Will there be a Part 2 of the Gossip Girl reboot?

Spotted: Part 2 of Gossip Girl, headed to HBO Max. That’s right, the first season doesn’t end after those first six episodes. In fact, that’s only half of the season. Season 1 will consist of 12 episodes, meaning six more will drop… Some time. HBO Max has yet to announce the release schedule for Part 2 of the first season.

Where can I watch Gossip Girl?

You can watch the Gossip Girl reboot on HBO Max, where the original Gossip Girl is also streaming. If you have access to any sort of HBO account, you have HBO Max. If you’ve subscribed to HBO through your cable provider, just enter your cable username and password into HBO Max’s site or app to start watching. And if what about if you subscribed to HBO NOW back in the day? NOW is now Max, so just use the same information to log in and get streaming.

Still can’t access HBO Max? We can help. HBO Max has two plans available at the moment: for $9.99 a month you can watch the streaming service with ads, and $14.99 a month gets you HBO without ads. If you want a discount, pay for your plan yearly: the plan with ads costs $99.99 a year, and the one without is $149.99. Unfortunately, the streamer no longer offers a free trial for new users.

If you just want to watch the original Gossip Girl, the series is also available to rent or purchase by episode and season over at Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, YouTube, and Google Play Store. But you’ll still need HBO Max to watch the reboot.
